I'm writing a seminar paper that explores how the theoretic foundations of IQ testing can be applied to AI intelligence evaluations (specifically the ARC-AGI benchmarks). To this end, I've been reading:

  The g Factor: The Science of Mental Ability — Arthur R. Jensen (Praeger, 1998)

  Jensen systematically develops Spearman's concept of a single general factor of mental ability and defends its psychometric, statistical, genetic, and physiological basis against all major challenges brought against it.

• 

  An Introduction to Error Analysis — John R. Taylor (University Science Books, 3rd ed., 2022)

  This best-selling text introduces the study of uncertainties to lower division science students using familiar examples; the new third edition adds a chapter on Bayesian statistics and computer-based chapter-ending problems.

On the side, I'm developing a research document management software (think something like Semantic Scholar combined with Zotero) for personal use, although I intend to make it usable for friends and acquaintances.

I recently was at the Proof and Computation 2026 conference and intend to write my thoughts on it soon.
